My Sweeties

Here are three silly pictures of my girls.

Karis

This picture was of Karis playing in our backyard. She had no idea she was getting her picture taken. I love how happy she is playing. She was so excited also about the shirt she was wearing it was a hamdme down from someone. I try to avoid shirts like this normally, but she LOVES them. Which makes handme downs wonderful...

Lanie

Same day, Lanie saw the camera and loves to pose and had to pose for me. She also has a new hand me down shirt and is thrilled with it and the bow on her hair. I dislike the bow immensely. It actually is a baby bow and while I see babies with them and they are soo cute, I am not a bow, girlie, frilly person and it makes me cringe on my own children, especially when the are too old for baby bows... But she is loving her ensemble which makes it worth it... today.

Capri

Same day. Capri is posing as well. She loves this scrunchy face and will make it on command. She has this knack for getting dirt stuck to her face when she plays outside and of course today is no different. And it makes me love the picture all the more!

And then now for the best picture today:

This is our Halloween picture. I may have mentioned this before, but somewhere along the way my older girls decided that if they tilt their heads far to the side it is the most beautiful pose for pictures! This picture is taken after I asked them to not tilt their heads, and this is the them not tilting their heads. Believe it or not it is much better than before I asked them to change their heads! What I love in this picture is they are tilted the same way and same angle. I could not have asked them to do this- it had to be natural.

As you notice, we went with the princess theme for Halloween. Karis was Ariel (her favorite), Lanie was Belle (her favorite), and Capri was Cinderella (her favorite). What is funny to me is that they have only seen the movie Cinderella! Yet they aren't stupid - they know their are other princesses out there.... :).

What I am working on...

So, this is not so much about me and my kiddos but more me and business. Sorry mom! But anyway, I have been pretty busy lately. I have really been enjoying it, but it is hard to have multiple projects to work on. I am having to learn how to manage my editing time wisely :). That is a good thing. Especially since I have quite a few more projects lined up. Anyway, thought I would share a few pictures from what I am currently working on ....

My Photography Business

So, one of my most favorite blogs is giving away a new set of "actions" for photoshop. I get an extra entry if I blog about it. So I am blogging about it :). When I work with my photos in photoshop there are soo many fun things to do to make a picture be more than a picture but art - well to me at least. Below are some pictures that I have used actions on. All pictures below have actions from my favorite place MCP Actions used on them, but then my own adjustments and some other actions. In case you are curious the first picture is of my middle child, Lanie, in our back yard - she is soo easy to photograph. The next beside it is of my baby Capri with my nephew Tyler at Lake Erie. The next two are from a Senior Session I recently did at an old train station in my town. Anyway, I hope I win!! If I do I will very soon post pictures on here using the amazing action set Jodi from MCP has made!

Karis First day of school

Karis had her first day of Kindergarten today.  She is in Mrs. Keegan's late bird class at Kimberly School. God has truly blessed her with 3 of her friends from church in her same class.  She absolutely had a wonderful time today.   And she is so excited that she gets to go to school every day this year.   Lanie is a little depressed, but she and I went out for a special date to chuck e cheese and that helped her deal well with the day.  At least until naptime came and she was upset that Karis was not there to take a nap and she had to!   Last night was our  "belly button" night where we got all cleaned up and everything all set up for school the next morning.  Then her and Lanie both woke up very early and dressed and combed their hair and came to tell me they were ready for school (hours before school starts)!  Tonight we are having our special back to school dinner - Taco Pie.  Chocolate chip cookies for dessert (they were fresh out of the oven for Karis when she came home for a special snack).  And of course back to school presents for all girls (special folders and skittles) and junior mints for daddy.   Karis is so sweet and so excited for it all.  Maybe a little too ready - since she was upset that I had to walk her all the way to her class today and take pictures!  She wanted to go all by herself!  I think it helped when she saw all the kids had their parents with them.    And she said today that Mrs. Keegan is her favorite teacher already!  Which says a lot, because she adored her pre kindergarten teacher.    The pictures aren't in any special order, just all mixed around.  Sorry about that.  Hope you enjoy!

Dressing Up

So,  the girls were dressing up the other day which is very common.  But Karis had the best outfit on and I had to take some pictures. Especially since my sis April was requesting some new pictures.   Capri has not yet entered the dress up world yet, she does like to carry purses and cell phones around and wear high heels or shoes of any kind and bracelets, but for this posting just a picture of her looking in the camera - but she is just sooo beautiful.  I know I am biased, but when you see the picture below you will agree with me :)!
